Bybit, the world’s second-largest crypto exchange by trading volume, has appointed Patricio Mesri as Country Manager for Spanish-speaking markets in Latin America, according to the reports shared with Finbold on Thursday, May 15. Mesri will help Bybit establish a firmer presence in Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, and other countries by forging local partnerships, promoting community engagement, and providing crypto education. Patricio Mesri’s career Prior to joining Bybit, Mesri worked in gaming, fintech, and marketing, and he is already well-known in Latin American crypto circles, having hosted trader meetups and led grassroots campaigns to bring blockchain to the mainstream. At Bybit, he’ll oversee brand strategy and promote regional growth while continuing his efforts to make crypto more accessible. Commenting on his new role, Mesri described Latin America as a passionate region with significant potential in the industry: “We see crypto as a new frontier — a ‘CryptoArk’ carrying the next generation into the decentralized era. That’s why at Bybit we make sure you have access to the full ecosystem: you can buy, hold, trade, and spend your crypto however you want. This region is full of passionate, digital-native communities ready to take the leap into a decentralized future. I’m honored to help lead that transformation with Bybit.” Helen Liu, Bybit’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), also discussed the importance of the Latin American crypto market and Mesri’s role in, stating: “Latin America is a key region for Bybit in the global crypto landscape, where innovation meets necessity. Patricio’s deep understanding of the culture, his crypto-native mindset, and his experience in building communities make him the ideal leader to carry Bybit’s vision forward. We are excited to deepen our roots in Spanish-speaking LATAM under his leadership.” Mesri’s promotion likewise comes just in time as Bybit is putting more and more emphasis on localized products like Bybit Pay and its CryptoArk project, a new inclusive gateway to the global Web3 economy.
