Global Semiconductor Device Industry Revenue Expected to Approach $2 Trillion by 2027

Recent research by Yole Group indicates that the global semiconductor device industry revenue is projected to reach $1.6 trillion by 2026, with expectations to approach $2 trillion as early as 2027. The agency points out that this growth is a result of profound changes in the industry value chain driven by AI infrastructure, high-bandwidth memory (HBM), advanced packaging, and investments in data centers. Data shows that the top five semiconductor companies contributed to more than half of the total revenue of the top 80 companies. Meanwhile, the competitiveness of China's semiconductor industry continues to strengthen, rapidly narrowing the gap with semiconductor manufacturers in Europe and Japan.
