Ukraine Registers 242,000 Job Vacancies in Six Months
In the first half of 2026, 76,000 employers contacted the State Employment Service, registering over 242,000 job vacancies. Due to a labor shortage, salaries for some positions reached 170,000 hryvnias per month. Lviv region became the leader in the number of offers, collaborating with 6,600 employers, which accounts for almost 9% of the total in the country. They offered more than 28,000 jobs or 11.6% of the total vacancies in Ukraine. The most popular vacancies included: vehicle driver - 10,600, food sales assistant - 9,800, sales consultant - 7,800, cook - 6,000, accountant - 5,300. High salary levels were recorded for the following positions: radio frequency control operator - 170,000 hryvnias, senior electrician - 150,000 hryvnias, technical manager - 142,800 hryvnias, head or supervisor of a department - 140,000 hryvnias, production director - 125,000 hryvnias. The labor shortage has become one of the main challenges for Ukrainian businesses, with 71% of enterprises considering the lack of personnel as an obstacle to production.
